COVID-19 Update

 Due to COVID-19, we are temporarily limiting the number of daily appointments. The health and safety of our clients and staff is very important to us. For this reason, walk-in appointments will not be accepted and clients who are not currently receiving a service will be asked to step out in order to control the number of people within the salon/spa/clinic. If you are experiencing a fever, cough, or sore throat, please reschedule your appointment for when you are no longer symptomatic. If you have been to a COVID-19-impacted area or have been in close contact with a person infected with COVID-19, we ask that you please reschedule your appointment for 14 days past the date of contact. Please note, we are requesting that clients wear face coverings when they arrive for their appointments. 

Vulnerable Populations

 In accordance with extended shelter-in-place recommendations to protect our more vulnerable populations, I am not working with clients with compromised immune systems, clients aged 65 or above, or clients in other elevated at-risk categories at this time. We apologize for this inconvenience and will continue to keep you updated.

POST APPOINTMENT

 A post-session check-in with a  client will take place 2–3 days prior to the appointment to ask typical session-follow-up questions, but also to ask about their overall health.  The client and/or therapist will be asked to call if either start showing any apparent COVID-19 symptoms. 

Update on Cancellation Policy

 Amid the ongoing uncertainty of COVID-19, we have modified our cancellation policy to offer greater flexibility to all our clients. We hope this will alleviate any stress and hesitation you have about an upcoming appointment. If you need to reschedule for whatever reason, and especially if you are not feeling well, we understand and request you to please contact us as soon as possible to reschedule. To further support you, there will be no penalties for cancellations. 

 

COMMITMENT TO OUR CLIENTS

Staying clean is nothing new to HandWritten Massage &Wellness. Sanitation is our thing and one of our top priorities. This is what we do.

However, in the wake of the current health crisis with COVID - 19 in the state of Maryland and across the nation, we strive to keep our clientele and staff safe, while also keeping everyone information and awareness.  Please take note of the policies and announcements noted on this page.

 

Here’s what we have been and will continue to do moving forward:

 

Deep cleaning will take place at the studio, prior to opening,  and after each client session, as well as before closing. As Always room will be prepared with fresh clean linen and face cradle cover.

All tools, surfaces, equipment, and any materials that may come into contact with the therapist or client will be cleaned/sanitized/disinfected.  

The therapist will wash their hands, wear protective gear (mask are mandatory for both therapist and client at the present time), change gloves and clothing between clients. 

New clients are advised to fill out in-take forms about their personal health prior to  session.

If the therapist is under the weather, they are directed to stay home. The client will be contacted to make arrangements about rescheduling. 

 

PLEASE NOTE: Clients are expected to practice cleanliness and safety before and after you visiting HandWritten Massage & Wellness. This is to include showering/bathing before the session,  washing your hands prior to and after the session, using hand sanitizer, and properly wearing a face covering.
